Hello friends, actually i got this idea in my mind about sharing idea and help to the people to get support in system admin job. It will be more appropriate for those who haven't got much real time experience. The problem might looks small to us but it can create great impact on jobs. Lets us share problem here and some pro can help them out..
Problem related to any Linux and solaris, VMware , AIX etc.

I will have a Discussion platform ready by tonight. Any of you guys have suggestions on which forum software to use , that would be great. I am thinking of using Simple Machines Forum and MailMan (GNU) for mailing list management. This will serve as the starting point and then we can work together and make plans on proceeding further. Once the mail man is ready I will give you guys the link to sign up for the mailing list.

If you have any questions or suggestions on how to proceed further in the mean time, please let me know, but i think mailing list is the first place to start.

Great proposal Nishant, I am in ,we have to think of mobile friendly platform so that we can access it anytime, right now I am thinking of Google drive or Google hangout or viber group, for weekend meeting we can use go to meeting something similar

I have now created a mailing list, where you can sign up with your email address and then whenever you send an email to the list, everyone will get a copy. Next step we can create a discussion board , blog, tutorials etc.

The reason you don't see any lists is that it does not display the list of all the members. You sign up and you are subscribed to the list. All the subscribers can send email to asksysadmins@www.asksysadmin.com and everyone else in the list will receive an email. I would like to encourage everyone else to sign up for the list as well.

If we create a new site, it won't be visible to too many people. Why don't sajha administration create a system admin group right here?

Let me answer this Solaris bro, although your concern is authentic , this is not about what platform we need for our group, this is about networking and helping each other out. Why do sajha be interested on this group ? We can use sajha to reach out interested people though , somebody already had started this noble thing so I would say support it if you like. Once we get much people , then we can talk on taking it to another level in a Democratic way

I don't think it will be very organized by creating a group right here. We need mailing lists, we need blogs , I was even thinking of making a mobile app etc. If one site would be enough to do everything, we would have just one site on the internet :).. just my two cents.............i have created the list, i am already working on the site and stuff.. so it will be there.... i will organize my tutorials and notes on the site as well...........

I am sorry. I did not mean to discourage it. I have seen quite a few sites start and then the interest level goes dead because there are no new users.

hey guyz how are you? well i was following your comments on sajha. I felt like this is really ganna go on progress. There are alot of people who actually want this concept to implement. It takes time to gather a big community but I am happy that we are sharing some views between us. We will come with some other plan soon. Lets keep in touch...

This is awesome, I'm in too. I'm doing HelpDesk right now and was trying to get into System/Network Admin. This platform probably would be big help for me or may be I can be of some help too.

Thanks for joining guys, but we need some conversations going. If you don't already know, when you sign up for the mailing list, make sure , you don't select the digest emails. Also to send an email to the list , you just send an email to asksysadmins@www.asksysadmins.com , it is as easy as that . Send introductions and lets have the conversations going !
