Hello, so 1 thing i'm confused about, As the Bhattarai v. Nielsen case is ongoing, why are people worried that TPS will end very soon. Looks like it is unlikely for this to conclude very soon, and even if it does, i think there will be additional 365 days for the transition period for the applicant to find other ways to AOS. So, even in the worst case scenario, i don't think people would need to depart until the end of 2026.

No, the Bhatarai case has been dismissed. On December 28, 2023, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) motion to dismiss the consolidated cases of Ramos v. Nielsen and Bhattarai v. Mayorkas. The court found the plaintiffs' claims moot due to the Biden administration's rescission of the previous administration's terminations of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for El Salvador, Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua, as well as the redesignation of Sudan and Haiti for TPS. However, a new case can be filed based on pre-ordained intentions should TPS be terminated.
