1. Can Shirish elaborate to Sajha readers what he means by saying that Gagan was invited by the US government (in the other thread). 2. Since Shirish has so much information on Gagan, would he clarify Gagan's stance on Maoists and why he has never opposed and criticized Maoists? For general example, I copy and paste an excerpt from Wave magazine - http://www.wavemag.com.np/2005/september/know_all.html Q. Why didn?t you oppose the Maoist targeting of educational institutions? Gagan's answer: After 1990, we did not interfere in schools. We were active only in colleges and as a union, concentrated on winning over people through elections. The Maoist Student Union was a minority. But I admit we should have done more to educate the people about democracy. I hope after Shirish clarifies the issues, lots of doubts will be erased from lots of Sajhaite minds.

Dont take me otherwise but I was very surprised when wave magazine asked that question. It made me think twice and am asking that question here just to erase my curiosity for good. I saw his video clip and admired his oratory skills. May be he is the leader for coming generation.

This man whoever he is bluntly taking about democracy and freedom, does not seem to tolerate that others have different ideas than his. He advocating George Bush kind of arrogance, that is, you are either with us or against us. Is this democracy and freedom? He should stop vocaling junks via email, and go to maoists area not in America or secure kathmandu to do politics, hiding in holes of foreign country and preaching democracy and all the crap does not make sense at all.

Whether you are impressed or not, I dont care. I am impressed with Gagan Thapa . I saw him in person, I heard him direcitly, one to one. I was kind of a person who did not oppose the king quite recently and I am not a political person. Oriental gal, Like I have said in the email, Gagan Thapa does not support Maoist. He calls both the Maoists and King extremists. He is against the arms used. Thats why he does not want to lift arms. If calling them extremist is not enough, and fighting against them is not enough, then you decide what to do... Regarding the cosure of school, Gagan does not support the idea. He does have conflict with those who issue the notices of closure. But personally for me, it is a part of revolution. Why?

Why? The school are integral part of society and future of our kids. It should be out of politics. The school areas should be declared as PEACE ZONE. But it is not being observed. Who is responsible for this? Are the protesters alone responsible for all the closure? Definitely not. Why on earth when there is any demostration in US or UK there is no violence or closure of schools? Because you can get permission to do the protests on those things that you don't like, you have the freedom to speak over the things you don't like. "Do you have the same environment in Nepal, currently,? NO. Has the current Govt of Nepal created any condusive environment to protest without disrupting any social life? Not really. This is just a little argument, though sad to have the schools closed, thats why Gagan wants this revolution to be the last one so that in the future no other school will be closed. He says "we have fought for the same cause many times and we do not want the next generation to do the same." We in the States have freedom to protest around the country pretty much with a permission on our own wish. Can you do that in Nepal? I will be writing more if you want me to. Thank You for asking the question.

ha ha...... Gagan says "we have fought for the same cause many times and we do not want the next generation to do the same." What a foolish guy is this Gagane. No revolution is the last revolution !!! Interestingly, Gagan doesn't want next generation to revolt, ha ha ha.... very clever and cunning he is. It means he ask people to revolt only now... then he will be in a nice post and his position will never be threatened by the new generation... ha ha... Does he thinks well before he talks. Who is he to decide to stop the means of future generation to revolt? Why is he so afraid of future generation? He is idiot..... because he failed to realize the factor that with new generation new ideas will also emerge, which cannot be predicted now. And those new ideas may call for such a revolution in future which may be beyond our present thinking!! Adios Gagane.. you suck!!!

So the revolution of BS 2007 saal transferred the power from the shree Teens to Shree Panchs. In 2017 the king snatched the power from people. 2036 (Oriental gal, this was the time when the government itself closed all the Academic Institutions in Nepal so its not only opposition who close the schools but also the Government) 2040 Yet another magh 19 According to our sage, intelligent and respectable prem dai, we will keep on fighting with the king again and again for the sake of democracy where people like prem dai can voice their thoughts. Let the political parties make mistakes again and surrender the power to the king, is not what you want Prem dai? Dhaya Hos timro !
