Look how dangerous SPAM is to Nepal and Maoists to South Asia:
Defeat of A Democracy By Maoists in South Asia
By Pushpa Pradhan
The Maoist dominated SPA government has agreed for the constitution of an interim parliament by dissolving the King reinstated parliament. As per the Maoists' wish, the government has been compelled to form an interim government along with representation of the Maoists, introduction of the interim constitution, among others.
The 12-point agreement made between the SPA and the Maoists in New Delhi under the guidance of India has now become a serious headache for the democratic institutions including the Nepali Congress and the Nepali Congress (Democratic). That apart, this has created serious trouble for India also.
Disintegration in The Offing
To date, 99 percent of the people do not know the definition of the constituent assembly. They know that they will be empowered and autonomous regions will be constituted on the basis of caste and ethnic representation.
Already, different fronts on the basis of castes have been established. These are the attempts to disintegrate this tiny country into different regions.
Where Lies Democracy?
The SPA plus Maoist agitation, 'janaandolan-2' was for a total "loktantra", but which sort of 'loktantra' are we going to achieve? The Maoists are not for the multi-party democracy. They have adopted the programme of late Madan Bhandari "bahudaliya janabad" (people's multiparty system). This will help formation of a greater left front among Maoists, United People's Front and UML. This front will create a great challenge to the democratic forces of NC and NC (D) and also the pro-constitutional monarchy forces. If the Maoists are able to make a success of their already prepared programmes, then the democratic forces will face a serious defeat in the near future.
The Maoists, as per the design of Indian communist Sitaram Yachury, will join the government, try to throw away the Monarchy by introducing a republic in collaboration with other republic forces. After doing it, the works of democratic forces will be over and the Maoists will form a communist government which will be a model in South Asia.
In the meantime, the Maoists will transform the existing political values. Side by side, the Maoists will intensify COMPASA expanding its organisation all over South Asia. The first target of the Maoists will be India as there is a strong hold of Naxalites in more than ten Indian states and day-by-day their organisation has been expanding. Very soon, the India groomed Nepalese Maoists will be a great trouble for India and it will create big trouble to the self proclaimed largest democracy.
Maoist takeover in Nepal and then India will be a big defeat for the only superpower USA. Finally, if the Maoists become successful, democracy will be defeated by a communist regime in South Asia.
