I think there is much chances of refusal of green card if sponsored by the same employer.

Amit24, If you don't have at least 2 years of prior experience in the field you are working right now, then you are in good shape to apply for the GC; otherwise, it's good idea to wait at least a couple of years and switch your employer and apply from them.

euta_nepali, I am not expert in this field, but I have come to know that you cannot use the work experience you gained at your current work, who is filing your LC or I-140. I have seen some people doing this because they have master's degree and they bring some sort of work experience letter from Nepal or elsewhere. But, think of a person who came to the US at the age of 18 or 19, finished his undergrad, and start working for a company as his *first* job on OPT or H1B. How can he claim that he worked 2 years in the field before he came to the US? Well, for some people anything is possible, but I had encountered this problem myself.
