I had many contacts in virginia but I can't do any help in Texas. I would also do such stuff as I used to do in Nepal. I am really sorry. But I believe almost every state should have some Nepali Priest for the purpose. We should make our Priest professional and well paid so that they feel happy to disclose that they do so.

to tell you what this is something very very practical and common, e-nwaran. make someone at home(nepal) to do the whole ritual in saita. at the end there is one ritual which completes the whole process and it is the most important of all, the guru has to tell the baby his chosen name(naam shrawan).this can done by telephone or any other communication medium. this is the best way to do naming ceremonies these days. i've seen people doing  it. it could save you a  lot of trouble. good luck!

On a serious note, if this is so much of a hassle, why do we need to do this anyway? Just name your son/daughter what you want...nepti, chepti, kale, bhaley or even in the like of kelly, belley, john, pawn and so forth...lol ..

One of my friends got the tape of mantochhar from guru and name of my child as per janma kundali. He just finished as they were advised.

Once you are out of resources, must used best available resources.  In this case, I will advise Mr. Adhikarki to have an Indian Brahmin which is locally available.

Admire Mr. Adhikari for his effort on trying to keep the tradition.

When I was young I heard a story of following a ritual after demise of his father, was looking for a cat before a pundit and other stuffs. Because he thought that are the important things to do. Logically, his father had a cat and did not want to be touched or disturbed. My saying is we should be more rational and logical too as we are out of resources.

Anupji, I did the telephone nwaran, twice before.

Five years ago, I had my friend's relative in the US. I set up the phone on speaker and did everything what he said from the other end. It took us about one and half hour to complete the process. Of course, I fed the pegions of the rice and flours that I used during the nwaran. Dakshina? I bought few good calling cards for panditji and gave him the pin numbers to talk with his family for hours. Anyway, my parents in Nepal did the rudri, puja whatever they thought they needed to do.

Last year, I couldn't find anyone. Everything was done from Nepal. When it was time to name the baby, my parents called us to connect with the panditji. It may have taken few hours in Nepal, but for us it took only five minutes to complete Nwaran.

So far as I know, it is widely accepted practice.

Well , As many of you suggested, we ended up with Indian Purohit. Luckily he was very familiar with Nepali Culture as well. He mentioned " Bagmati , Bishnumati , Gandaki, Pashupati Nath .." etc in his Mantra. which made me feel that  he did everything that suppose to be.
