If you can get your doctor to write a letter stating that you are going through  high risk or very difficult pregnancy so you need some help, then I think it will be easier for your mom to get a visa.

Me and my wife called my parents two months before my wife's delivery. We sent following documents to my parents to take with them during their visa interview:
1. Letter to Consulate to grant visitor visa- reason - to attend during birth of baby to share the happy moment and its our culture that elders present during such event.
2. A letter from the doctor verifying her expected date of delivery
3. Other regular stuffs- such as Affidavit of support, pay stub, tax copies relationship certificateds........
4. Parents need to show tie with Nepal that proves they will be back to Nepal

Who gets visa and who don't - Its luck. My parents got visa.
I dont think the cause you are showing is  a factor for visa denial.

Congratulations! I also called my aama. I know your situation. Too many peoples have too many opinions. I think pregnancy nadekhaunu bhaeko kura chai right haina. As far as I know, delivery ko bela bhanda ali aagadi visa apply garyo bhane huncha. Tara interview ma baccha herna jane bhannu paryo, "baby sitting" haina. For example, your parents should convince the consular that they are going only to visit the new born baby. Let’s say it’s religiously important to us but they will not work as “baby sitter." If someone says in front of consular that they will take care of new born and mother, it is consider as your parents will take away the American job. Sayad yehi kura nabujera hola pregnancy dekhauna hunna bhaneko.

In my case I send followings documents:

1. Letter to Consulate

2. Letter from doctor

3. Letter from my college stated that I am a full time student.(F1)

Most important thing in this matter is that your parents should able to show strong tie back home. That’s allVisa ta dihalcha sure nai, don't worry. .

2. affidavit with notarize

3.doctors pregnancy due date letter

4. letter to consular

5. letter to parents to inviting usa for take care of the baby and take part in this happy events

6. copy of my birth certificate

7.copy of my driver licence

8.pay stuff,bank statement of 2 months,account verification letter, tax  document,copy of passport or visa or h1  or Green card etc

9. marriage certificate

next thing donot so bank balance in nepal bcoz my uncle and aunty didnot get visa in the same case , they had shown handsome bank balance in nepal so they said that why u wanna go to usa ?stay here with handsome money.

donot forget to show relatinship with family members and income source in nepal but no need to translate in english.

maile ta ama buwa dubaijana lai bolayeko . visa pani sajilai diyo , maile august ko 15 samama ma bhaneko thiyo uni haru le ta apply gareko 4th days mai interview liyera visa diyechhan.

anyway , pregnancy lukaune kura ho jasto lagdaina but ama haru lai interview ma jada hami bacchha hundai chha so hami jana lageka bachha herera return hunchahu bhanna lagaunu best hola jasto lagchha . mero ta parents le tehi bhaneka hun.

ani arko kura handsome bank balance bhaye visa dinchhan mero parents lai ta 6 months samma ma return hunu hai natra usa ma malna garo hunchha bhandai visa diyechhan
