You got to read between the lines bro!! In Nepal unless you have the control of the AUTHORITY or some POWER connection, you cann't even to "aachi" ... never mind looting 1.5 million rs.

first of all, i am not a bro....
second of all, who needs authority in nepal to loot households??? every now and then, dindahadaii robbers loot rich people.
this idea just does not click to me especially with the relatively stable situation (relatively), plus some positive steps. me not saying things are going great, but the situation is not as chaotic for criminals and authorities to hatch a plan to rob households.
where do you live? US, australia, canada, europe? robbers loot a lotttt in these areas too...are they also robbbing because they have source force with the authority?????
well, u r free to think what you wish.
this is a minor issue. lets not get into a heated argument about it ok?

It appears that these series of loot is done by an organized gang. Whether it is affiliated to any of the three “axis-of-evil” is a little complicated.

Khai k eke. . .

Anyways, it is NOT A MINOR ISSUE okay. If a family is kept hostage, threatened by knife, guns, and are looted from their house and it appears to follow a pattern akin to serial killing; I don’t know how a sane person would term it as MINOR. KNOCK KNOCK!!
He he!

when i meant "minor issue", i intended to avoid huge, heated arguments that start out with one person disagreeing with another.

lfc123 ... I don't want to get into and unnecessary heated argument... and if you take this one incident by itself, it might be considered a "minor" thing in the sense of the big picture -- saving our country. However, I have talked to people, here in the US, that some of there families are beeing requested to donate to Maoist and some off offshoot group of UML and Congress, royalists... the people that are nurses and village compounders are being mistaken for DOCTORS and asked to give exeburant sum iof money and when they can't they were beaten and threatened with life!!

And BTW way, the andolan supportaive media is not reporting on any of these ... that's where my frustration lies!!

Peace man --- you are a man right?! If not .... peace sis or lady, or madam, etc... don't focus on one word!!

If this kind of looting happen in the Kathmandu valley is an Issue, Folks this thing happen in chitwan abouit 2 years ago and who cared at that time. You think it was SPA or Maoist. I say NO, Its local people along with Professional indians dacoits according to one of the fighter who survived. Local knew about the house and professional dacoits who carried the fight and looted the cash and jewellary. Thank god to Local People who took the local leader who knew the house hold took him to jail But I dunno about this incident in Kathmandu and "I'M NOT SURPRISED".

No arguement here

Yeah, the authorities should rein all that disturbs the security of the general. It is bit geting out of hand, with co-ordinated loots, people comming in buses and looting and the govt just shying from responsibility.
Maoists should be warned if they are trying to fish in troubled and real authorityless situation now.
I am scared self defence and vigilante groups may crop up in every nooks and corners and we slide back E Timore style.
