what i find interesting is that in USA , WM is king... but in europe and asia , symbian is king.

regarding centro- i personally wouldnt buy that.. but thats just me... a lot of people would be happy with the centro.. its not a bad phone.

I also have a dilemma. I need to send a nice around $200 cell phone to my friend to use it in Nepal with the prepaid plan. Would you recommend any?

Thanks

Brand new Tilt for $400 is a pretty good price.  If you are signing a new contract, you can get it for a lot cheaper.  I think ATT had refurbished ones for free after rebate about two weeks ago.  Try looking for TyTNII also.  It's the "unedited" version of the Tilt released by HTC.  TyTNII comes with an extra camera on the front for video conferencing.  That's about the only difference.

nepalikancha- $400 for tilt is not brand new.. i found it on ebay.. for like new but not new...

goodlife- n95 seems like awesome phone.. although i would prefer if it had a qwerty keyboard and wish it wasnt that expensive.. i think right now the most expensive smartphone must be the N95.  but also i mean its got lot of features.. GPS, 5mp camera... but still tooo expensive i think.

$400+ for a used Tilt does sound kinda expensive.  I bought mine brand new with a two-year contract from ATT for $410 few months ago.  I'd say wait a few more months (2-3 months) if you can.

I don't consider N95 as good smart phone coz it doesn't have Qwerty key board. its just way expensive phone then what it should be. thats it.

yeah i would say N95 is the best smart phone in the market now.The graphics ,5 mp camera ...mindblowing.even the external speakers are awesome. but it is way expensive and the keyboard is a lil not user friendly...i phone its just the look it has...impress a gurl with an i phone u can....

if i were u i could go for nokia.they make the best phone in the market.durable and last long.....wait couple more months the price of N95 is going down coz
N96 is out ......i am witing until the price of N95 goes down to 350 or so...i am so going for it...

peace

http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/nokia-n95-black-silver/4505-6452_7-32085029.html

so no 3g for N95 in US yet and there is nothing called 8g,  i know there is 8 gb but don't know nothing about 8 g at this time.

here is the review for Europe too

its not very user friendly when you have to use it for IM. very expensive and over hyped phone.

latoboy, it has a proprietary headphone jack (uses mini-usb port).  The whole package comes with a headset that works with that port.  Plus, you can always buy a mini-usb to 3.5mm adapter and use any headset.

ya, it does not have regualr headphone jack but, has 11 pin mini USB (actually HTC ExtUSB). you can buy the converter in some cheap price. I like 3 in 1 adapter for charging , audio and one extra, charging can be done while syncing
