In english pulling someone's leg means fooling someone.
In Nepali, khutta taanne has connotations of back biting.

GT made it clear...by saying $25 ticket price did not justify the venue, does not mean we are pulling anyone's legs. Maybe the organizers will do a better job next time. I am sure they put in a lot of effort to get the whole thing together and for spending that time we should acknowledge them, however with lot of people complaining about the venue it does reflect that they were not happy with what they had paid for and the show the organizers short coming.
maybe ram80520 has a different opinion....he will uthi baash garing everyone if they talk too much. I am still not sure if he is talking for the organizers or against the organizer.

Geology tiger already admitted that he may not know the meaning of 'leg pulling' but the way he described 'khutta taan-ney' in Nepali context is very accurate.
btw,
'leg pulling' itself as a phrase has a literal meaning , that means grabbing someone's leg and pulling
'pulling one's leg' has a figurative meaning which means to 'fool someone'.
In the context of 'leg',
खुट्टा निदाउनु - which is the tingling feeling due to the lack of proper blood circulation
I've heard some of my Nepalese friends saying 'my leg sleep', or 'my leg slept', being Nepalese I made a sense.
I think the proper use would be, "my foot fell asleep"
Am not trying to be a English lecturer, just sharing what I know. Hope you take it not in another way.

Whoa, smart asses! I know the difference between leg pulling and khutta taning. And I do stand corrected.
Anyway, GT bro, I found a bit insulted by this. " ani katipaye afule thaha nabhayeko kura ma boleko bhanda nabolekai ramro bro"
What's there to know on this context? If anything, you seemed to have completely ignored the reason why I found some criticisms as unreasonable. Whilst I totally agree that the organizers should probably own up if they failed to live-up to the expectations, I still don't find it plausible that asswipes like fat beast are complaining about "expensive" ticket prices. And there were some who took it down to a different level - by comparing ticket prices to concerts of Coldplay and Aerosmith. These geniuses seemed to have completely ignored the fact that when 10-40 thousand people go see a big concert, it's reasonable for a concert price to be so low (kinda like Times of India being sold for 2 rupees while Kantipur's being sold for 4)?
I can't see how organizers would've managed to cover all the costs incurred to sponsor Nepal's greatest rock band, pay for their accomodation and on top of that, make profit. If 10,000 Nepalese were going to attend the concert then there's no way the cost would've been 40 bucks.
And I hadn't really read any of your posts prior to the one addressed to me. If you're gonna nitpick on petty things like ticket prices, you're likely to find shortcomings in anything else.

Guys,
I have attended many nepali concerts here in US where the ticket prices were $20 - $30. Those concerts were held in a college auditorium, highschoold auditorium or a local community auditorium. I attended those concerts in places like Omaha, Denver, and Minneapolis where there are very few Nepali folks compared to Dallas. Those organizers were able to give mediocre bands of Nepal some respect of being a musicians. The issue is not whether the ticket price was fair or not. The god damn issue is that how dare they bring 1974 AD in an Indian Dhaba Resturant hall. Do none of you see this as an insult to the band and its fans.
Now, it has made me think about 1974 AD band itself. Do they not check the background of the organizers? Do they not have any standards? or do they just go wherever they are called by whomever??? If they want to stay number # and be respected as a number one band they need to say no to performing at Indian Dhaba.

I'd imagine 1974 AD not doing a concert for a mediocre some, unlike many Nepali artists and that could be the reason why their price had to be set high (GT bro probably knows all about this though, I'm only guesstimating).
Re: Venue, maybe it's not easy/cheap to rent big halls in Texas as opposed to other states? I know for sure that it's almost unimaginable to rent big halls for concerts in states like CA because you won't be able to collect the cost incurred to rent those places alone!

I personally didn’t mind the venue but the sound for me was crappy and of very low standards. Maybe because of the speakers or lack of Sound Engineer at the venue.
