N E P A L I N F L 2 0 0 6 Welcome to Nepali NFL 2006, the Playoff match between the players who competed in the regular season (under Are you ready for some football thread) and managed to be one of the TOP 14 Teams!!! This is the Playoff and 14 top teams qualify (names and Tie sheet to come soon) Rules 1. Each player should predict winner and loser and also the final points. 2. The player who correctly predicts the winner wins the matchup. If both players predict same winner, final points will be compared. 3. Differential* will be used to find out whose prediction was closest, point wise. Player with lowest differential wins the match-up. 4. If both winner/loser and points are tied then the player who had predicted first will win the matchup. *Differntial = |(predicted winning points-actual winning points)| + |(predicted losing points - actual losing points)| . That's it!!! So let the predicting game start.

Remember Guys, Faster you post your prediction the more advantage you have over your opponent; if tied the person who posts first gets the upper hand..rule 4 (see the 1st post). Unknown, Yes you are right. Had Ax pick Denver too, he would have lost the match even before the game started. But I know AX and he is one sly fox. By taking the heavily favourite team and basically levelizing the rest of the predictions he is putting all the risk to one single match-up that is most predictable. Great great strategy AX!!

I heard Carson Palmer might had a career-ending injury. That has to be the worst news of the year. A young and promising quarterback who posted a steller season (he would be the highest contributor in my fantasy team) and had a bright-bright future (a sure shot for hall-of-fame). Worst thing is NFL players don't have guaranteed contract, they will just get the severence pay. Hope he comes back to defy the doctor's analysis.

it wasn't that bad of a hit, but it's very terrible to see carson palmer go. if it was kyle orton or brian griese, then it would have been understandable. but carson palmer was the best qb of 05 season.

All players will be ranked based on the winner/loser prediction and scores...so post your picks even if you are not qualified for Week II Quarterfinals.

hasayo DWI bro ley ..... kay garney jitnu ta paryo ni..... how come I don't hear about the trophy in this league :p Palmer injury is terrible. This was his first year as a fulltime and I think he just signed the richest contract in NFL history (don't rem the exact figure) ... Plamer a sure shot HoF??? it's far fetched... QB like Warren Moon is having hard time getting to HoF. Palmer needs another 5-6 years of performance like he did this year. With my personal experience, I don't think he will be back fully 100% after the surgery.... I predict Pats to win the game but I want them to lose the game :=) go INDY go

One of the most picked team by the posters is CAROLINA. Seems like my prediction of CAROLINA vs COLTS in the superbowl might come true.

IndisGuise, Yes there is a seperate "competition" going on as well. One is the knock-out series going on amongst the remaining 8 players. Also going in parallel, every week until the super-bowl, all the players will be ranked according to their points. Points are based on the winner/looser prediction and then on the scores predicted (lower the differential higher ranked you will be). So, YES, everybody can take part on this and will be ranked after the last game, everyweek.

CHATMANDUDE, Could you post your actual points prediction, rather than win/loss margins. Please look at what others have done. The excel code will go crazy looking at your prediction format. There have been 15 entries so far. According to the 14 posts, this is what the voting for winner looks like: NE: 9 ----------- Den 6 votes. Indy: 10 ------- Pits 5 votes. Car: 12 --------- Chicago 3 votes. Seattle: 10------ Wash 5 votes
