this is nice if nepal tps gets extended beyond June 2025, then we know we are getting 18 months for sure.....otherwise it doesnt serve a purpose for us :(
Hoping that Biden listens to these senators and do something before he goes out 🤞

If you filed Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, to renew your expiring Employment Authorization Document (EAD), you may qualify for an automatic extension of the expiration date printed on your EAD while your application is pending. You qualify for this automatic extension if: The Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt notice you received for your pending Form I-765 renewal application has a “Received Date” that is before the “Card Expires” date shown on the face of your EAD; The Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt notice has a “Received Date” on or after May 4, 2022, and on or before Sept. 30, 2025; Your renewal application is under a category that is eligible for an automatic extension (see the list of categories below); and The category on your current EAD matches the “Eligibility Category” or “Class Requested” listed on your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt notice. (The table below lists exceptions for certain categories.) If all the above factors are true, then your employment authorization does not expire on the date printed on your EAD, because you have been granted an automatic extension. To determine your actual EAD expiration date, please see the “Automatic Extension Eligibility Calculator” below.

The “Class requested” or “Eligibility Category” on your Form I-797C,: Notice of Action, receipt notice for your Form I-765 renewal application: A12
Description : Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Granted

Yeah this only works if Nepal tps gets extended again, atleast for me since I got new EAD, and the expiration date is June 2025

@username619 I was thinking the same. I also received a new one that expires on June 2025 for now. It is no use if tps didn't get approved. I was also wondering, even if tps get extended, trump ends it then what's the point.

I feel that if TPS gets extended before January 20th, we might at least have another 18 months of TPS, even if Trump returns to office, plus an additional 6 to 9 months if Trump decides to end TPS afterward. However, if TPS isn't extended before January 20th, it's uncertain what will happen when Trump comes back. It could potentially be terminated, gonna be a uphill battle with Trump Admin

If TPS is terminated, people will have at least 60 days. This is stressful. I believe that Trump is not going to terminate/end DACA this time. He doesn't seem to like TPS holders though.
