Should have said "IT link for Network Professionals" than "..IT Professionals" -- since that's a collection on hardcore Networking aspect of the IT. It can be targeted to someone that wants to be a Network Admin, or a Network Engineer.
I see some articles on Server 2000, which still is in use -- but is getting quite outdated ~~ ALTHOUGH Microsoft Still makes patches and will do so for 2000 at least 4-5 more years down the line. So, it's not a bad idea to follow 2000 materials. Also, the knowledge of 2000 builds a decent foundation to the ones that want to proceed one more step to the '03 Server and Client OS.
Yet another way of learning the same stuffs (and more) is through certifications. Two way advantage of getting certified:
-You gain adequate knowledge required by the certification
-You get the lifetime (or in some cases certain number of years') credentials
My certification pattern was :
Network+, A+, Security+, MCSE XP Professional, MCSE Server 2003, CCNA, CEH ; out of which my school was kind enough to grant me 9 college credits for three of the certs.
Also, remember -- those cert-titles on your resume unbelievable lure the recruiters. College degrees are being too common these days. They'll look for something more than just that on you. :)
