Indeed, it is annoying.  Why not just put the ad on the top banner or left navigation bar?

Well, I hate to say this but if I was the owner of a high-traffic free site like sajha, I would also welcome any revenues from advertisement as San has done. Yes, we all hate ads, and I do to. But keeping a site like this running requires a lot of money and since its a free site, ads are probably the only sources of revenue. C'mon let's face it. How many of us would be sajha members if it was an ad-free paysite?
