One of my roommate just got a citation for drivin with learners permit in Minnesota
He got pulled over infornt of out apartment while coming back from school ( less than half miles).
He has a court date tomorrow and we needed some tips to have less damage. The cop issued $130 ticket.
So, if he pays the ticket, will it be in the driving history? Or is there a way to avoid it from going to the record?
What can be done best?
We have the appoinment tomorrow @8 am.
So, anyone with related information, please give us some tips.

If it is his first ticket, it will disappear from the history within 3 months. It only applies if he doesn't get any ticket within 3 month. If it was early, I would recommend you to take defensive driver's course but since it is too late, go to the court, plead guilty and pay. That is all you can do at the moment.
