While not condoning the crime he committed, I can't help feeling sorry for the guy. He was such a fresh air in Nepali music scene and an artist with high potential. I hope his victims get redressed with justice and his soul repaired.

He might commit suicide.... that's my prediction....

This is an UNFORTUNATE development.

One of the greatest strengths of Anglo-American jurisprudence (which you guys in the UK and the US enjoy to a great degree, and we don't in Nepal) is this: People are
NOT guilty of crimes they are accused of UNTIL proven so in a court of law.

Ojha's crimes, no matter how despicable, have NOT yet been proven to be true in
and by a court of law in Nepal.

As such, Ojha is NOT yet a criminal, but a singer facing serious allegations. I would
think that he could well be released on bail, pending a trial.

That is why, again, no matter how vehemently one wants to punish him for his
alleged "work", he deserves to be treated as an inncocent Nepali UNTIL proven
guilty.

Anything less will only signal that the difference between how Maoists mete out their justice and how the rest of Nepali society metes out its justice is pretty much of the same: without any valid legal proceedings. Either approach further makes a mockery of our cherished notions of "democracy"

Democracy, after all, is all about the legal validation of every citizen.
The rest, as trhey say, is nothing but commentary.

Obviously people are going to be biased by emotion in such highly publicized case. It does not matter if it is in Nepal or the US. That?s why there is a special Jury selection, and if I am right there will be one in Ojha case. In Michel Jackson case in the US a lot of people hesitate to think he did it albeit all the proof. Others like J leno even go on the public TV to say he is guilty. Such talk of democracy was a mockery in OJ Simpson?s case. Even recent Actor Blake case smells very fishy where he was acquitted.
People are people, they might have been aghast by the crime than to the ?perpetrator? and it is the court to put the blame on the ?person?. Unless the court is always definitely Right in ruling the verdict less the people will tend to wait and see, such is not the case in the US and in Nepal, the people have not experienced such cases for long to even feel there is such a jury.

Instead of going to jail why doesnt he stage a revolt and join the revolt so he doesnt have to go to jail. His public life as a singer has ended with this incident anyway.

I am not familiar with Nepali pop/folk singers so I was not aware of him until I heard this story...Anyways, what I HEARD is that he videotaped some youngins suckin him off..Why is everyone catigating this guy without noticing that their were lil hoes who were willing participants in this act...My question is: Shouldnt they be held liable for sucking the cock...And where are the parents of these sluts?
