okay, that's kinda annoying but not beyond understanding in my opinion.. they show indian movies in theaters back in Nepal and as per my last observation, if it still holds truth, more people prefer watching hindi movies to nepali or english for that matter. they listen to hindi songs which have quite a share in the music industry in nepal in terms of potential in the market. let's understand-- it's a simple business (demand-supply) thingie. the distributors and theater owners in nepal pay "money" to buy license from movie producers (indian) and they would want as many people in nepal to watch those movies. there's a big market and people do loveee them hindi movies. long as there's market, those ads will keep appearing in our news sites, our national news papers, hoarding boards in our cities... so on and so forth... why blame the media? it's the people who want them!!! what do you think? if people care a damn about overrated celebrities(?) like paris hilton, will they be able to get the adulation/attention from the freaking media and people? this is show business, my friend. most of we, people, need paltry entertainment. glamor/sex sales for the same reason....Most of us are fools and few smarty pants cash in with our stupidity hahaha.. .that's the truth let's face it :P Rich people get richer and richer--know why?....coz stupid poor people make them do so...it's not about capitalism vs. socialism ..it's about smart vs. stupid HAHAHA... sorry for going a bit off on tangent there :P

Actually when you suddenly notice that ad it immediately makes me feel something is not right. First of, I wonder if Sulekha or Nepalnews got permission from Ajay and Kajol Devgan to use their faces on that ad. Second of, the Hindi word "Aur" is not suitable in a premier Nepal news portal, I think. On the other hand, the people who conceived the ad caption plausibly seems to be driving at the Devgan home production "You, Me aur Hum" in tandem while advertising for Sulekha. This ad on the contrary could provide promotional exposure to the movie indirectly. My finger finally points to Nepalnews.com who is presuming that Hindi is an alternative language for Nepali news media outlets no matter how minuscule the desi word like "Aur" is. When the language from across the Southern borders get too many helping hands, this is what happens: (Observe the picture provided below.)

To my understanding its as simple as one Spanish advertisement in US....
Nepalnews is renting out its domain....its not dictating or rather cant say what Sulekha should have in its content as long as the matter (content) remains inoffensive and lawful.
If some say hindi is invading, most of us would sense the bitter...the bitter truth...., but again we the helpless!

Guess what? It's not Nepalnews that's showing the indian ad. It's GOOGLE that is showing the ad. - Advertisers like sulekha pay for ad keywords on Google - Google provides website owners with small code to put on their site to show contextual ads i.e. they will show ads depending on the page content and keywords purchased by advertisers. - Google pays website owners a small portion of the payment received from advertisers A site like Nepalnews can earn a minimum of $5000 a month by placing google ad codes in their site. Nepalnews cannot determine what ad is being shown on their site at any given point. They can specify which ads to not show. I suppose they can chose to not show sulekha but why would they care?

Well , i really dont care if those actors are indian or nepali.... the site is for indian ,american or mexican... Only concern is word AUR which is used. It is totally indian and should not be used... As nepalese ppl knw how to speak indian language and it is similiar, we are mixing up hindi words in nepali and dnt even realise its not our word. ... and we tend to forget nepalese word and replace hindi words for itt.No good..
I think these nepalese media should not allow indian languages atleast to preserve our own language..
even if it is google who puts ad i guess they can ask google not to put that particular ad..

I think Webjunki bro is right. The ad is placed by Google randomly on the keywords it finds from the site.

Take it easy guys. Most of us are jotting down our thoughts here in Sajha in an alien language too. If the site in question was a government funded site, then there might be some basis for complain. Even then, we have so many people in Nepal whose first language is Hindi. Its a private site. They can print out English, Chinese, Hindi or whatever. I would feel uncomfortable if my passport comes out in Hindi, otherwise screw it.
