The first time I saw her at the street, she looked like a butterfly,
She just passed right by me but I couldn’t speak, and I wonder why?
That night I couldn’t sleep, her face circled here and there,
If I could see her again, I’ll speak up the words with care
I couldn’t sleep and the next morning I went straight to the same street,
That smile was perfect and I wonder if it was a beauty or the beast?
My heart was pumping and my mind was running scared,
There again I saw her coming, dressed in a blue dress
Holding my fists so tight, my soul said, “Speak up if you dare”,
The heart diminished and my soul flew to kiss the space.

As she crossed me just like yesterday, I said, “Hi”, with my blues,
But she didn’t turned back and I know she got nothing to loose
Again that night I couldn’t sleep like before,
That sleepless night went teasing me, pushing further to roll
Same as the other day, I stood at the same place,
I didn’t know why I was there but I felt like I was on the race
She did show up and I said, “Hi”, to her again,
As she turned, we both smiled and that’s how our story begin
She was the one and her heart was soft like bread,
We did nothing from each other and I still remember the moments we shared.

Most of the time she’s smiling and everything she said felt right,
I knew somewhere she has a secret and she wanted that to hide
One day I asked with the ring and with my knees bent on the floor,
She stood stunned, staring at the ring but couldn’t speak a word
“A simple yes would do”, I said, and I didn’t ask for more,
She turned back sobbing like a child which felt like she shut down the door
No words after that day for twenty long days,
I wonder thinking and asking myself, was I too late?
Then one morning she called me while her words seemed typical,
I hurried down to see her while the destination she gave was of the hospital.

She was on the bed counting her last breath,
She said, “I am sorry but I am getting married to the grave”
She was dying ‘cause her heart was too small,
That evening she left and placed all her memories on the wall
She cried holding my hand but she was not ready to leave,
She asked me to move on and promised me to heave
The smile was still glowing on her face even she was gone leaving everything behind,
Those irreplaceable memories hunts, I know that destiny was unkind
Her last word was to forgive but I couldn’t glance on her face,
I wished that I could restart the memories from that street again.
