The latest season of “It’s My Show,” broadcasted on Kantipur Television now hosted by Oshin Sitaula, has sparked huge controversy. Actress Jassita Gurung has expressed her concerns, alleging that the program attempted to defame her.
In a Instagram post, she raised serious questions about actresses Swastima Khadka, Samragyee RL Shah, and host Oshin Sitaula.
In the episode aired three days ago, Swastima and Samragyee appeared as guests. Host Oshin asked them some provocative questions. The discussion included comments on the personal lives of other celebrities.
Oshin asked Samragyee to name two ex-girlfriends of actor Anmol KC. If she couldn’t answer, the condition was ‘they had to strip’. Swastima quickly mentioned two women’s names without much thought.
It should be noted that Anmol has never publicly acknowledged being in a relationship with anyone.
Another question was directed at Swastima: “Which actress dated Dhiraj Magar before and is currently dating Anmol KC?” Swastima confidently replied, “Jassita Gurung.” Samragyee added with a laugh, “She was also with Pradeep Khadka in between.”
Reacting to it, Jasstia said, “I had to speak about this. I never understand why people have to talk about someone’s personal life on national television when they don’t even know them well personally. I am deeply saddened by these people after watching this interview. Are we truly against women bringing another woman down? I have no personal issues with any of them. Since the beginning, I have held them in high regard and admiration as an actors and host.”
Swastima and Samragyee both apologized in the comment section. Samragyrlee said that it was never meant to hurt her and she answered it as she was in the rapid fire round. The comment is now deleted hinting a tension between them. On the other hand, Swastima said “it came out very impulsively.”
Anmol KC also shared Jassita Gurung’s post and called the show disgraceful, disrespectful, and disgusting. He also said that the ladies should focus on real life charactee. Similarly, Samragyee reposted a story by a fan who said Samragyee was pure-hearted and didn’t mean anything harmful. In the story, the fan also mentioned that they were blocked when they commented the same. Later, Samragyee deleted the story.
Kantipur TV is yet to release a statement regarding this episode. Many fans have called out Oshin, labeling her as very immature to host the iconic show once hosted by Suraj Singh Thakuri.
