"Few of my friends from Nepal are planning to pursue undergraduate studies in the USA and have sought advice on suitable courses for Nepalese students, particularly in terms of job prospects after graduation (of course, most people think of Computer science and Nursing, is there anything else ?).

Could some of you provide insights on promising pathways they can consider?

Additionally, if possible, could some of you recommend colleges in the NYC/Maryland area known for their relatively accessible admission process?, less expensive ones if possible and also the ones that take new students for Spring session

We also want to know the current trend for Nepali students who hope to be successful

other than nursing and computer science, there is no promising pathways for international students unfortunately .

dentist from nepal mostly end up as dental assistant for life , lawyers end up as paralegal ( lekhandas ) , professors , lecturers , civil engineers , mechanical engineers , microbiologists all end up as gas station worker or real estate agent in usa .

to be able to live comfortably in USA , you have to make at least 120 K a year and as an international student only IT graduates and some nurses'( Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, travel nurses) make that sort of money straight out of college .

CUNY in nyc is affordable university .

This is scary, if it is really true, I thought there will be variety of opportunities for people of all backgrounds here; The potential lack of diverse opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds in the US is indeed concerning. 

If this is true, what do most people from Nepal who come to study in US need to do, to be successful in their career apart from their time  in gas station and real estate, should they finish their undergrad in Nepal and come here for Master's or PhD instead ?

This is a very critical issue for my friends, please clarify.

I'm from Civil Engineering Background and I make 900K Per year in the USA.

To be succcessful is US , first you need to have legal right to work. As a inernational student nobody sponsers your green card but IT consultancy agencies or nursing healthcare agencies .

Except It and healthcare , the other good oppertunities are mostly for US citizens who graduate from from top- notch colleges like yale ,rice ,duke,princeton, brown etc .

As international student australia is far more better. Free healthcare , lesser hate crime , well diverse and better pay than US except IT and healthcare and very easy to get pr

For prospective students completing +2 in Nepal, and exploring the appropriate pathways to enter Nursing School in the USA, especially without prior RN course background, what are the right pathways to embark on a successful nursing career in the United States ?

I have heard that Some people begin their journey by pursuing a Health Science major or other relevant fields. I have also heard that direct entry to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) may involve multiple specific prerequisites and a requirement to pass the NCLEX exam.

Could someone clarify this matter? Thank you
