Does Nepal have Political Legitimacy?

The naked truth has been well understood and exposed! Nepal lacks political legitimacy. Nepal’s political parties are following the dictatorial regime. How could a nominated parliament implement rules and laws concerning the nation and its people? Nepal’s diplomatic circle and its concern parties are concerned with how the state affairs are run and executed in Nepal. Nepal’s parliament is a nominated parliament and not an elected parliament.  Thus it lacks political legitimacy. The Nepalese King had nominated the parliament after the April Movement of 2006. Thus, the legitimacy of the parliament is in big question. The nominated Prime Minister of Nepal, Girija Koirala was nominated by the Nepalese King and thus took the oath of office with the King. How could the Prime Minister of the King take decisions only to scrap the powers of the King?

Nepal is headed towards more anarchical form of government. The Government has included terrorists as ministers of important portfolios of the country and has failed to act according to the people’s judgment. How could Maoists who are still termed as terrorists by major nations be at the post of the crimes they have committed and still continue of commit in the name of people and the country? Is Nepal’s parliament which has been blinded with their power forgotten the years of Maoists terrorism?  How could the Government fail to provide justice to the nation and its people for the crime against humanity by the Maoists?

It is a joke to see the plans and procedures of the Nepal Government. The Nepal Government would provide Rupees 3000 for the Maoists combatants but would fail to provide any form of assistance to those left homeless and orphaned by the Maoists. How could justice prevail in a nation where its government is itself blinded by its so called ‘assumed powers’? The political situation in Nepal has been worse and the nation is in a complete chaos. The YCL and their affiliated parties are continuing their own rule of law of abuse and extortions.

How does Nepal implement its policies by the so called parliament when it is an illegal parliament in ruling? Does Nepal really have Political Legitimacy?
